NEWS: Nomination agli Oscar 2011

Sono uscite le nomination degli Oscar 2011, che si terranno il 27 febbraio. la serata sarà condotta da Anne Hathaway e James Franco.
La parte del leona la fa Il discorso del re con ben 12 nomination tra cui miglior film, sceneggiatura, miglior regia (Tom Hooper), miglior attore protagonista (Colin Firth) e non protagonisti (Helena Bhonam Carter e Geoffrey Rush).
I fratelli Coen si aggiudicano ben 10 nomination con Il grinta, remake del celebre western interpretato da John Wayne. Regia, film, sceneggiatura e miglior attore per Jeff Bridges che potrebbe uguagliare il record di due Oscar di fila ottenuti solo da Spencer Tracy e Tom Hanks. The Social Network si accoda con 8 nomination tra le categorie più importanti e Jesse Eisemberg potrebbe diventare il più giovane attore vincitore di un Academy Awards, superando il record di Adrien Brody (che lo vinse a 29 anni per Il pianista), ma James Franco (per 127 Hours), Jeff Bridge, Firth e Javier Bardem (per Biutiful) gli daranno filo da torcere.
A contendersi il premio per il miglior film ci sono tra gli altri Black Swan di Darren Aronosfsky e Inception di Christopher Nolan, clamorosamente escluso nella categoria miglior regista. Per la miglior attrice Natalie Portman (Black Swan) se la dovrà vedere con Annette Bening (The Kids Are Alright) e Nicole Kidman (The Rabbit Hole); ma potrebbe spuntarla l'outsider Michell Williams (Blue Valentine).
Buone chance per Christian Bale (nomination non protagonista per The Fighter) e Melissa Leo (anche lei per The Fighter). Escluso il film di Virzì, La prima cosa bella, tra i migliori film stranieri.
